Fender doesn't always get things right with Offsets but -

The price point is around $1k new and it's the first US-made Mustang with the 'traditional' vibrato in over thirty years; only lackluster (IMO) Japanese reissues have been produced until just now. I have a '66 myself (restored/refinished,) so I'm a big fan of the guitars in general. The vibrato is actually subtly re-designed to eliminate the weak spots in the pivot that plague the original vibrato units, and with a lock to make it hardtail.
At any rate I had to cover an unexpected expense so am not buying a new guitar after all; but when I decide to splurge it's a harder choice, for sure. I will have to play one.
